Cookie Policy

What cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Last updated: 18 March 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how UTS Training Academy (a trading name of Unique Tech Solution Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies on teachaitools.com. By continuing to use our website, you consent to the use of essential cookies as described below.

1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in.

Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide a better experience to users. They do not contain personal information on their own, but may be combined with other information to identify you.

2 How We Use Cookies

We use cookies strictly to make our website function correctly. Specifically:

  • To keep you logged in to your student account during a browsing session
  • To protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks
  • To remember your preferences within a session (e.g., form data not yet submitted)

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or behavioural profiling.

3 Types of Cookies We Use

Cookie Name Type Purpose Duration
ci_session Essential Maintains your login session. Set by CodeIgniter (our website platform). Without it, you cannot stay logged in to the student portal. Session (deleted when browser closes)
csrf_cookie Essential / Security Protects forms (login, contact, registration) from cross-site request forgery attacks. Required for all form submissions. Session

Both cookies above are strictly necessary for the operation of this website. Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require explicit consent — however we believe in transparency and inform you of them here.

4 Cookies We Do NOT Use

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics cookies
  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies (e.g., Facebook Pixel, Google Ads)
  • We do not use social media tracking cookies
  • We do not share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes
  • We do not use persistent tracking cookies that follow you across other websites

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics), we will update this policy and display a cookie consent banner to give you an explicit choice.

5 Third-Party Cookies

Some content or functionality on our website may be provided by third parties. These third parties may set their own cookies:

  • Zoom — if you click a Zoom link to join a live session, Zoom may set cookies on their platform. These are governed by Zoom's Privacy Policy.
  • CDN-hosted libraries — we load some assets (Bootstrap, jQuery, AOS) from public CDNs (jsDelivr, unpkg). These CDNs may log your IP as part of normal server operations but do not set tracking cookies.

We have no control over third-party cookies and recommend reviewing the relevant privacy policies of those services.

6 How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are links to cookie management guides for the most common browsers:

Please note: Blocking or deleting the essential session cookie (ci_session) will prevent you from logging into your student account. All other website content will remain accessible without cookies.

7 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new features or third-party services that involve cookies. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will display a consent banner before they are set.
